Platform level design

Playing with styles for our game. I think I’m going to stick with something like this, at least for this level. Clean, sterile, isolated. Makes you feel kind of uneasy, right? I hope it does anyway. That’s the whole point!

I’ve learned that while I love game design, concept art, and level design, it’s not so easy to design puzzles! The people that have created the puzzles for Portal, God of War, Catherine…man, they must be geniuses. I give them all the credit in the world at this point.

But we’re moving along. I have great programmers on my team, and they’re coming up with all sorts of fun mechanics. All I have to do is make it look pretty! Our midterm demo is due in two weeks, so hopefully I’ll have something substantial to post soon.
